Luke-isms

Luke and I played at the Discovery Center yesterday in an attempt to avoid the rainy afternoon. While perusing their new germ exhibit, Luke became enamored with one disease in particular.
"What's that one's name, Mom?" he asked.
I hesitated. "That's HIV."
"Oh Mom, I wike HIV!"
"No you don't, and please be quiet."

  1. I'm confused. Clearly being at the Discovery Center w/your child is a sign you care. What stress overcame patience and cut off a wonderful potential dialogue? I would wike to know what he wikes about HIV? When a kid says they wike or donut wike something, it may be the beginning of a whole book of jokes!

  2. Very good question, Dash. Perhaps he liked the shape, or maybe the color. I didn't ask. I probably should have...
